I think I may have insomnia...
Insomnia : inability to obtain sufficient sleep, esp. when chronic; difficulty in falling or staying asleep; sleeplessness
yes that does it... here goes with the self diagnosis, I have no trouble falling asleep it's the staying asleep, I woke up yesterday morning with a song in my head, at 3am, couldn't go back to sleep until 5...
it used to be different, I would have the hardest time going to sleep, my roommates (when i had them) would fall asleep at least an hour before me but i couldn't shut my mind down, now i can clear my mind before i fall asleep, however i can't make it stay off. i wake up thinking about random things, I wonder what the weather is like in Boston right now.... if i was home in Austin what would my life be like? These are the haphazardly placed ideas that wake me up in the middle of the night.
A good friend told me that i should take a sleep aid, maybe i need to just simplify....

okay men on a power trip...
So say I decide to go 80 in the left lane on 35 through downtown Dallas because I'm late for work. Is it your job, Mr. I drive a huge truck to cut me off going 55 cause you think I'm going too fast? NO IT'S NOT! Your job is to stay in the right lane and say things like "damn kids" or "I hope she gets a ticket" You are not a cop so stop wasting my effing time but cutting me off then when I go around you mouth a few choice words in my direction. Stay in the right hand lane or I will pull in front of you and stop and let you pay for me a new car!

In Response to Erin's Blog...
So in response to reading Erin's blog I am reminded about a recent encounter with those horrible creatures. So it's a random night and I walk into my bathroom and on my black rug I see something moving. It was a roach, but not just any roach, one of those HUGE roaches that you people have here in Dallas. I run into the kitchen to try to find something to kill it and finally decide on Dish washing liquid, cause it's thick and slimy and he'll get stuck... right? WRONG you can't aim with that! So he proceeds to run between my legs into my bedroom and under my dresser. I try to put it out of my head knowing full well that I will be sleeping in the living room as long as that thing is in my room. I walk in the living room, watch TV the entire time I'm thinking about it. So I go in my bedroom and it's on the wall up by the ceiling. Then I guess it sees me and starts FLYING! I run into my closet and hide, I crack the door to see it land on my dresser.
I'm an adult, I realize this, but when it comes to these things, I'm a child. I can't deal with anything that disgusting.
So it finally climbs down the back of my dresser and then goes underneath. I know now what I have to do. So i go in my closet and put on Dr. Marten sandals ( you remember those were freaking heavy) and start taking out drawer by drawer. With each drawer I'm expecting it to fly out at me and then I'll just pass out and not have to deal with it. So all of the drawers are out and no bug. So he must be between the bottom shelf and the floor... so what do I do? Turn my dresser over! He shoots out and I stomp on him. All of that build up for a 5 second climax... The next problem I encountered was how to get it off my floor...
So I used a paper plate and a plastic cup to scoop it up. The whole time screaming oh my god oh my god over and over again!
A few days later I'm telling my guy neighbor about this and he says.... "next time that happens, come get me, I'll get Bandit (his dog) to eat it"
Nice! Very Nice! Where was this offer last week!

inspired by Tessie....
Things that annoy me or that just suck!
1. EVERYONE on MacArthur Blvd From 114 to 635. You all suck! I hate you! Learn to carpool or better yet eat lunch at your freaking office once in awhile so i don't have to watch you scarf down a disgusting hamburger while you almost crash into me while "driving", talking on your cellphone, and eating at the same time!
2. People who use the Handicap doors when they're not handicap! STOP BEING LAZY!!!! open the freaking door yourself!!!!
3. Movie's that make a mockery out of the books they are based on. Harry Potter!
I went to see "The Nanny Diaries" with a friend last weekend! If you haven't read the book you'll probably like it, however if you have... don't let the movie spoil it. It totally sucks!
4. Bachelorette parties consisting of dinner and bowling! Are you KIDDING me? Am I the only one who thinks male strippers and booze?!?! I know it's all kinds of classy but seriously. How is "bowling" celebrating your last night as a single gal?
5. Finishing a book in an on going series when you have to wait for at least a year for the next one to come out! I know nothing can be done about this... it just irritates me!

Stay at home moms.... how DO you do it?!
Okay maybe it's because I'm sick but seriously I can't stay at home all day.
So all week I've been fighting this head crap that is going around. This morning I "wake up" and before I even attempt to take a shower I bow out, call my boss and tell him I'll be working from home today and then fall back asleep until 9. I stumble out to the couch, fire up my laptop and get ready to work. When all I want to do is go to sleep. I fight through the first couple of hours, thinking this is nice... I can listen to John Coltrane and Louis Armstrong while I work... (I'm an old 25 I know...) then lunch time rolls around. So I set my alarm and crash on the couch for an hour. Wake up at 2 and finish my "shift". My clients must have known I wasn't feeling up to par, because they really laid off today, so I was able to catch up on some things that have been collecting dust. So 6 finally rolls around and I realize I've never been more bored in my LIFE! Granted I don't have children running around to occupy my time but seriously. So now my entire house is clean, all the laundry is done and my bag for the weekend is packed, (I'm going down to visit my parents this weekend) and all I want to do is be outside. I'm going to bed... even this post is lame....
